Business Tour: Performance Foodservice – Thoms Proestler

Last, but certainly not least, we have Performance Foodservice – Thoms Proestler at 8001 51st St West, Rock Island.

I worked at Thoms-Proestler for 29 years, and was part of the fourth generation working at the business. I held several positions there; dockworker, inventory control, buyer, and warehouse manager, and finally, vice president of operation. Our family sold the business to Performance Food Group in 2005.

Business Tour: Simmer Chiropractic

Yesterday I visited Simmer Chiropractic at 3012 18th Avenue, Rock Island.

“Dr. Simmer is a 1981 graduate of Rock Island High School. He received his Chiropractic Degree in 1994 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Simmer is very involved in his community by being part of the RI County Board, RI Milan Booster Club, and is currently running for South RI Township Supervisor. Dr. Simmer caters to the needs of all ages from newborn -100. Licensed in Illinois and Iowa.”
